Kgalagadi Trans-frontier Park Gallery – the amazing wildlife in the trans-frontier reserve. The park sits at the southern end of the Kalahari Desert, straddling the borders of South Africa/Namibia/ Botswana (see the full story at Multi-tasking in the Kalahari…).
Epupa Falls and the Himba Tribespeople Gallery – the beautiful Epupa Falls in Kaokoland (northern Namibia on the Kunene River bordering Angola) and the fascinating people of the Himba Tribes indigenous to the Kaokoland area of Namibia (see the full story at The Himba Dilemma).
The Birds and the Bees (flowers and sundry small critters) Gallery – a random mish-mash of all the beautiful and interesting flowers, plants, birds, insects from around Africa. We have actually seen quite a lot more amazing small wildlife than are shown here (honest guv!) but our photographic skill and patience do not yet stretch to capturing the speedy little critters successfully with the camera!
Cuthbert’s ‘On-the-road’ Gallery – funny what you see en-route in Africa! Signs, people, goats! These are a few random pics of Cuthbert ‘out and about’ and some things we just found at the side of the road.
Gorilla Gallery – pics from our special time spent with the awesome mountain gorillas or the Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. This was truly one on the key highlights of the whole Africa trip (see the full story at Gus the Gorilla and the video at: Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda).
Richtersfeld Gallery – we had a great week in this remote and spectacular park in the far north of South Africa, on the Orange River bordering Namibia. It’s a long slog to get there (from anywhere!) but soooo worth it! (see the full story at Awesome Richtersfeld).
Khama Rhino Park Gallery – we took so many pictures of the wildlife in this wonderful small game park near Serowe in southern Botswana. Here are just a selected few of our favourites. See the full story at Rhino Story.
Kruger Gallery – a small selection of our favourite pics taken over a week touring around Kruger National Park. We tried out a different camp each night from Letaba Camp in the central section, down to Berg en Dal Camp in the far south. On day six we ‘got lucky’ spotting eight rhino on one game-drive! See the full story of our ‘Whacky Races’ game drive with a maverick ranger at The Great Kruger Lion Chase.
