Woah!! Another year over!  2018 was our fifth year on the road and we tootled just over 20,000km between Colombia and Mexico. We thought we’d end 2018 with a few random/geeky/curious statistics from the year….

IN 2018 WE DROVE 20,343 km (12,640 miles) through 9 countries with 9 border crossings taking 41 diesel refuels using 3,488 litres of diesel at an average speed of 49kph/30mph with fuel economy 5.8 km/litre, 17.1litres/100km, 16.6mpg (UK), 13.7mpg(US) staying at 153 different camp-spots using 35 kg of LPG (for cooking and heating) and 3 water filters (0.5un)

• 1,225 engine starts
• 561 hours of engine running (429 hrs below 1,000m asl, 101 hrs at 1,000-2,000 m asl, 31 hrs above 2,000m asl) and
• 55,065,000 engine revolutions with an average 1,689RPM.
